ACITA
The Automated Customs and International Trade Association Ltd, ACITA, is a trade association formed in the early 1990’s and is incorporated as a private company limited by guarantee. It is a self-help and non profit-making group.
Members of the Association include importers and exporters from most business sectors, including large multi-national companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME's), sole traders, specialist consultants, freight forwarders, software houses and other service providers.
ACITA has regular bilateral meetings with HM Revenue & Customs Directorate as well as being represented on many multilateral consultative committees.
ACITA is the voice of International Trade in the UK, providing a focus and forum for traders and consultants involved in trading across borders. The association acts on the trade’s behalf as a critical partner for the UK and European authorities, and provides information and advice to its members, both on-line and through regular regional and national meetings.

EGAD
The Export Group for Aerospace & Defence (EGAD) is a non-profit making special interest industry group focusing exclusively on all aspects of export and trade control matters. EGAD operates under the joint auspices of A|D|S, the British Naval Equipment Association (BNEA) and the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI).
EGAD is the only dedicated national industrial trade body in the UK dealing with export control issues. The services provided to Members include:
- Providing reliable information concerning export control issues;
- Providing a forum for discussion and education;
- Sharing of information and experiences;
- Lobbying Government for and on behalf of the Membership.
EGAD's overall purpose may be summarised as follows: "To provide a Defence and Aerospace Industry focus for export control issues."
